When using ELM, if you find that your computer's CPU usage is constantly spiking high then there are a few immediate factors to check:
- Make sure your graphics card meets the minimum specs required as shown here.
- Double check if the content you are trying to play is supported by the number of cores and CPU speed as outlined in this table:
- If using an external graphics card, make sure that the correct graphics unit is being used by ELM.
- Ensure that the LAV Video Configuration App (gets installed with ELM) is using the correct settings as laid out here:
Through a combination of these different factors, you should be able to make sure your computer is functioning at normal usage levels while running ELM.
