Hardware OSC or MIDI device to control OSC in ELM Live panel

Folks,
Does anyone have a suggestion for a rugged small OSC controller to use to control parmaters on the ELM live panel ? I knwo about TouchOsc.. etc.. but need to avoid a touch screen in the desert. I see lots of midi controllers.. and knwo that you can control stuff from the sequence panel with Midi in the latest ELM release.. but is there a way to control things on the Live panel (eg intensity, speed and A/B swith ?) any hjelp much appreciated !
