Copy multiple Presets to a Bank

If Emu is still being supported (not holding my breath) - as a new feature, - It would be a huge timesaver if it was possible to copy multiple programs into a new bank... its possible to copy one at a time but it would be a huge time saver if it was possible to copy multiple programs at the same time....

I did request this feature some years ago but never got any response...

If I have a sequence of programs that I want to reuse in a new bank it is a real time consuming task to copy (drag as there is no copy/paste option) as once I drag I lose program window and have to find it again etc... when theres a lot of programs this can be quite a chaw.

Image shows a sequence (white 1, white 7 etc) that would be ideal to copy all together instead of one at a time.

Andy that won't be too much time saving as I don't think anybody has a conveyor of Banks production :) Basically once you do it - you're good to go. Thanks goddess EMU has such an opportunity to copy programs to banks at all and from the recent it also can not copy banks to another shows! We're were looking for it for a long time and now it's available and I think most users are happy with it. IMHO.

But if EMU will be able to copy multiple programs at a time - I won't mind it, however don't think it will be in demand with me and most of the users.

Hi Andy,
Thanks for the feedback. We've got this in our backlog for consideration however there are a few other exciting things we have prioritised at the moment that we are excited to share.

A question for you though, do you think that copying presets is the best work flow?
What would you think of a "preset" system where you can have your selection of presets you can quickly and easily apply to fixtures and cues as you program. This would have benifits when programming new looks or when recreating old ones. It also wouldn't require you to bounce between the Main and Programs windows regularly.

Keen to hear your thoughts!

Hi Matthew, I’m not too sure what you mean by apply to fixtures and cues as I program….

The way I do my lights is as followed (always open to suggestions though).

I start a new bank and give it the song name… I then add all the various lighting effects into the ‘presets’ of that particular bank… - in some other banks I might have a few lighting effects that I would also like to use in my new bank, at the moment I can drag one preset at a time into the new bank…my suggestion was to be able to select more than one at a time and drag them into the new bank.

This is the way I program my show in Emu, is there another way of doing this?

Do you mean a new column containing presets which I can drag and drop into the new bank?

If so I requested this a long time ago…yes that would work better for the work flow…if this is what you are suggesting….
