The S-Play allows a maximum number of entities. These are as follows:
Type | Maximum Quantity |
Cue Library | 256 |
Events | Unlimited |
Triggers | Unlimited |
Playlists | Unlimited* |
Schedules | 128 |
*No hard upper limit has been defined; the maximum practical limit is heavily based on playlist content and size. (i.e. if 30 playlists containing static scenes were triggered at once this would not be an issue, however, 20 dynamic playlists merging at the same time may result in dropped frames).
The two main limitations of S-Play playback capacity are linked to the SD card.
- The storage capacity of the SD card will limit the number of dynamic recordings that can be made. (See the User Manual for guidance on calculating show storage capacity).
- The read speed that the S-Play can interpret data from the SD card; for example playing a high number of dynamic cues at a high frame rate will require more bandwidth than playing back multiple static cues. For the best performance, ENTTEC recommends Class 10 SD Memory cards designed for high load video recording. (i.e. Samsung Pro Endurance series). - Always test your system configuration before deploying it on a project.
