By default, all CVC4’d DMX addresses are set to channel 001 in our factory. Use a DMX input and PLink output to chain into the rest of your CVC4’s. The following CVC4’s using PLink will auto address from the address of your first CVC4.

The CVC4 allows its start address to be updated in two ways:

RDM:

If using RDM, each CVC4 can be linked using a DMX cable between each CVC4’s screw terminals and a unique address set for each. (Mode is still set through the DIP switches).

Each CVC4 dimmer’s auto-addressing PLink output is still active and can be linked to more CVC4’s. All CVC4’s linked back to one with an RDM address set will autoadress.

PLink Data:

When using PLink data directly from an ENTTEC Controller (i.e. Pixelator or Pixelator Mini), the start address of each PLink data stream can be defined within the units web interface. – This allows multiple CVC4 chains to be assigned to the same universe with different start addresses.
