Troubleshooting: Red flashing CVC4 LED indicator

If the CVC4’s LED indicator flashes red, the CVC4 is in its thermal protection state and has become overheated. The output brightness will be halved whilst this mode is active.


This can be caused by:

  • Insufficient airflow to passively cool the device
  • Drawing a current higher than the device is rated for.
  • The device is installed within an environment that exceeds the recommended operating temperature.

Ensure that your installation meets all requirements of the product as defined within the user manual.
